Addington, A directory of the descendants of Henry and Sarah Addington of Union County, South Carolina was first published in 1989 by Naomi Patterson and Mary Jane Edwards. 

ADDINGTON, The family of Henry and Sarah Addington beginning in Bucks County, Pennsylvania was published in 1996 by Veda Addington Lindsey (539 pages).  This book included all the information in the first book and all family updates to the date of publication.  Veda further updated the 1996 book in an electronic pdf version dated 2006.

With the passing of several more years and the availability of the 1930 and 1940 US census data, the Addington Association has decided that a new revision would be appropriate.  In addition, our DNA study has shown that John Addington of CT is closely related to Henry Addington and probably his brother and we want to include descendants from this branch of the family.

David Vern Addington, an Addington Association member, has agreed to be compiler for the new revision.

Family data for the new revision will be accepted until October 31, 2020.

It has been decided that the 3rd edition will be issued in electronic form only.  This means that there will be more room for family photographs and family stories.  Family members are encouraged to submit both family photographs and stories.
